The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’, which means “to join”. Yoga is not only a union of body and mind, It is also about the union of a person’s own consciousness with the universal consciousness (being one with the universe!).
Yoga is associated with a healthy lifestyle with a balanced approach to life. It brings stability to the body and the wavering mind by improving our concentration, devotion and dedication. Pranayama (being part of yoga practice) is the best exercises to increase the capacity of lungs. Through meditation and pranayama we can banish all our stress and lead a healthy life. It can reduce stress, thereby lowering anxiety and inducing relaxation.
Yoga helps to improve ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It improves and helps develop self-confidence, dignity among ourselves and brings clarity of thought.
I approached Sri Prasanna Veeranajaneya Yoga Kendra in 2001, as I was suffering from severe knee pain and other ailment. Yoga master Nagaraj prescribed me some aasanas, pranayama. Within few months I was relieved from complete knee pain and other ailments. I attended our yoga classes for about 4 years. Now, even after 10-12 years I do not have any such problem. I am enjoying good health with two hours of yoga practice daily. Now Mr Nagesh and other seniors teaches teach and guide students in the Kendra. Mr Nagesh and other dedicated trainers have has about 20 years experience and have undergone good training. Your Yoga Kendra is now giving wonderful to everyone coming to Yoga Kendra. I am sure, all the discerning persons in and around Mahalaxmipuram would make use of this Kendra for improvement and maintenance of their physical and mental health to lead prosperous and peaceful life. I have no hesitation in saying that this Yoga Kendra is doing very good job. People can take benefit and flourish in all respects from this model Yoga Kendra.

Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra is a unique and extraordinaire center for learning and understanding Yoga. I am thankful for the Yoga Kendra for helping me to learn the aasanas in a systematic and step-by-step process. Am so happy to know what movements and exercises help me. Learning to do the aasanas early in the morning along with the most committed and dedicated group has helped me in being motivated. The zeal, enthusiasm and encouragement for everybody is admirable.

I am attending yoga classes at Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra, Mahalaxmipuram, Bangalore since1st Jan 2013. I was having blood pressure (BP) from June 1210. From June 2014 I do not have any BP problem as such I am not taking any medicine (tablets), this is because of doing yoga regularly since 1st Jan 2013.
I started attending yoga at Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra since I was suffering from vertigo. Within a span of 3 months I was free from vertigo and there was no need for continuing medicines for it. This happened some 10 years back. Since then I am regularly coming to yoga class; it makes me physically fit, mentally happy and cheerful all through the day. I am grateful to nammaspvyoga Kendra for teaching Yoga to thousands of people like me.
I wish to share my experience as below.
Despite of my hectic travel schedule since last one decade I do practice yoga regularly. Almost one decade back I was suffering from Hernia & Severe lower back pain. When i visited Manipal hospital, expert doctor suggested me to go through operation for Hernia & Asked me to take rest for lower back pain which is not curable One day incidentally I saw our Yoga centre at Anjenya temple and started going there almost regularly. Under the guidance of Mr. Nagesh Sir, I started practising following asana along with regular surya Namaskara etc 1.Baddhakonasana, 2. Upvishtakonasna, 3. Ardh Matsendrasana etc.
To my surprise I got completely cured with my Hernia without any operation and my lower back pain is completely cured. Later I went to see the same doctor who examined me previously to reconfirm & to my surprise they confirmed Hernia is cured completely. Though my job calls for frequent travel still I practice many asana and does regular Kapalbhati & Anulom Vilom to keep myself physically fit.
I am practicing yoga in our Yoga Kendra from last 1.5 years. Since then, my health improved. Pavana Muktasana helped me to reduce skin problem. My blood circulation improved so my diabetes is under control now; and the hand-numbness I experienced earlier is vanished totally.
