We were overwhelmed with joy and happy that nearly 100 students and teachers of Shri Pathanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti (R) Karnataka Yoga (SPYSS) from their different branches in Bengaluru, visited our SPV Yoga Kendra on 14th December 2024.
To give a flavor of their fame and activities, SPYSS have more than 700 branches across the world with more than 40,000 voluntary teachers and millions of Yoga practitioners. They conduct daily free yoga classes. The teachers of SPYSS work on a voluntary basis without any remuneration. SPVSS is the largest voluntary service organization in the world where teachers serve without any remuneration.
Apart from teaching and propagating Yoga, SPYSS serves the community providing health care, and moral education. They are into spiritual training and help mentoring youth, emotional counseling, cleanliness and hygiene.
Our SPV Yoga friends exchanged pleasantries; Sri Jayaram Anna, the Mukhyashikshak of many SPYSS branches in Bengaluru, Sri Prasanna and Nagesh spoke on the occasion. Both Yoga institutions agreed to strengthen ties and continue to work together in conducting yoga and other social activities.
After chanting Shanthi/Lokakalyana Mantra, and sweet distribution we all dispersed.
