As 2nd biannual event from SPV Seva Trust, Bengaluru for the year 2024 and 75th Blood Donation Camp of MKL Balaga was conducted on 7th December 2024 at Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra. This Camp was conducted in association of SPV Seva Trust, Lions Club of Bangalore, Sanjayanagar and Lions Blood Centre, Vasanthanagar.
Following were the spotlights of the Camp held in the auditorium of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Temple, Mahalakshmi Lay Out, Bengaluru:
(1) Creation of nice Rangoli art to suit 75th Camp of MKL Balaga – by Smt Lata Hegde, Yoga Instructor at SPV Yoga Kendra;
(2) Inauguration of the Camp by IT professional, Sri Ganesh, the first donor of the the Camp;
(3) Thanks to donation in large number by Yoga Practitioners of SPV Yoga Kendra and their efforts in convincing temple devotees to volunteer for the Camp, we could collect 102 units of blood (including from 18 first-time donors and seven donors of negative and rare blood units);
(4) Apex Health and Wealth, Bengaluru (life and non-life Insurance Advisors) supported the Camp; even temple staff came forward to donated the blood.
(5) 40 citizens took advantage of free eye-check-up programme on the occasion, which was facilitated Lions Eye Bank, Bengaluru.
(6) There were 28 Bangalorians who pledged and registered their names to donate eyes after their life.
