Friends of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust and SPV Yoga Kendra today visited the orphanage run by Kalpa Raksha Educational and Charitable Trust. This Orphanage started 12 year back, takes care of shelter, food and education for 25 girls.
We interacted with Trustee and caretakers of the Trust, Sri Kumar Naik and Sri Ramesh Naik. Despite hardships, abysmal poverty and odds faced by them in their early ages, Sri Naik Brothers established the Trust and with an aim to give shelter to less fortunate boys and girls they established and managing the Orphanages, one in Mahalakshmi Lay Out and another in Nagarabhavai areas of Bangalore. We understood benevolent activities and the difficulties and hardships faced by the above Trust in maintaining the orphanage. Sri Kumar and Ramesh brothers who started the Orphanage with strength of 5 inmates have goals to move to an owned land and spacious building and to give improved living conditions of girls. It was an eye-opener for many of us to talk to enthusiastic girls in the orphanage. They chanted a few slokas and shared with us their vision/target to achieve their identified goals in life.
We distributed sweaters and chocolates for all the girls residing at the orphanage.
There is no better feeling than seeing enthusiasm and confidence on the faces of little girls whom we visited today.
