Celebrations of International Yoga Day 6 July 2024

6th July 2024 – Grand Celebrations of 10th International Day by Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust

Yoga is a timeless, priceless living-art, it is a way of life. For everyone health of the body is very important. So our ancient Indian culture has given great importance to health, our sages have found that yoga is an integral part of our Indian heritage. Our country India, is credited with introducing the importance of yoga to all the countries of the world. Services of Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra, which has selflessly engaged in coaching and training thousands of people yoga for many decades, and providing number of social services, is commendable, the  celebrated orator, writer, thinker Dr. K.P. Putturaya opined. He was speaking as the chief guest at the 10th International Yoga Day function of the Yoga Kendra.

Honour:

Every year as part of the Yoga Day celebrations, this Yoga Kendra, has kept the tradition of honoring some elites who have rendered unparalleled service in various fields of yoga and community service. Dr Puthuraya delivering a thought-provoking and scintillating lecture laced with wit and humor, expressed his happiness that the Yoga Kenra was selecting and honouring deserving people.

As a part of this year’s Yoga Day celebration, senior Yoga Practitioner and Yoga Teacher Smt Jyoti Satish, who is running a yoga school in Chintamani, was honored by the organization. In recognition of the commendable  service as  yoga  teacher, and  providing good community activities is rural areas, she was presented with the ‘Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yogashree’  award  by the Seva Trust.    ‘I never thought I       

deserved so great an honour; I am very humbled to receive this honor;  I am inspired to do more social service,’ said Smt Jyoti very humbly. It was a feast to watch the young children of her yoga school performing yoga-dance performance.

Sri Vinayachandra, founder Director of Indic Yoga, Bengaluru and a learned Sanskrit scholar, was felicitated for his outstanding achievements. He made research in the field of yoga, psychology, philosophy, Sanskrit, Indian culture and history,   He was awarded on the occasion the title ‘Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yogabhaskara Puraskara‘ in recognition of his profound knowledge, deep studies and research and teaching he had been making in these fields, as well as his exemplary community service.   Accepting the honor very humbly, Mr. Vinayachandra expressed his gratitude for the honor conferred upon him.

Smt Gangamma Kesavamurthy a luminary in the field of music and gamaka was also honoured on the occasion.  Smt Gangamma, receiving the honour expressed her gratitude.  In her melodious voice she, recited gamaka poetry. Sri Nagesh mentioned that, by honoring dignitaries of the stature of Smt Keshavamurthy, the status and dignity of the Seva Trust were elevated. Along with his wife Smt Jyothi and grandchildren, the Chief Guest Sri Putturaya, was honoured by the Yoga Kendra Trustees.

The ceremony of the day was started with Ganesha prayer and lamp lighting.  The welcome address and the introduction of the activities of the Yoga Kendra were given by Sri  Nagesha Rao, the Trustee of SPV Seva Trust and the Principal of Yoga Kendra.  Smt. Suma introduced Sri. Putturaya. With vote of thanks, audience and gathering signing National Anthem the colourful program ended with sumptuous dinner.
