Students of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra Celebrated Friendship Day in very unique way namely :
1) worshiped nature by – planting 130 Medicinal Saplings on 25-acre land (preserved to grow medicinal plants) belonging to Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited(KAPL), at Kadabagere, on Magadi Road, about 20 km from Bengaluru .
2) associating in the above planting program and spending time with visually challenged children of Belaku Academy, a free residential school managed by Ashwini Angadi Trust**, Kadabagere. We thank
(1) Sri Vijayakumar, GM Marketing, and Sri Durga Prasad, AGM, KAPL for providing the opportunity to plant in their reserved land as well as
(2) Ms. Sneha, committed social worker for coordinating with Belaku Academy. ** The Trust is the brain-child of and managed by Ms Ashwini, born visually impaired and recipient of prestigious –
a) the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education’s Gordon Brown Youth Achiever’s Award. The award was given away in New York in 2013 as part of the Malala Day Celebrations.
b) Queen’s Young Leader Award on June 22, 2015 in London and was honoured by Queen Elizabeth II.
