17 Mar 2026 – 86th Blood Donation Camp arranged by MKL Balaga, an NGO for Social Cause at Pragati Automation Pvt Ltd, (manufacturer of an Automatic Tool Changers for Machining Centres) at Peenya. This Camp was organized in joint association with Lions Blood Centre, Vasanthanagar, Bengaluru, Lions Club Bengaluru Sanjaynagar and SPV Seva Trust, Bengaluru.
Highlights of the Blood Donation Camp were:
1. Camp done in memory of Machine Tool Industry veteran and founder of Pragati Automation Machine Sri Ashok V Sathe (17 Mar 1940 – 29 Dec 2020); inaugurated by Sri Deepak, Directors of Pragati inaugurated the Camp.
2. The Camp was conducted in a well-planned makeshift-tent erected within the factory premises;
3. Both senior and young employees and officers enthusiastically participated in the Camp resulting in collection of valuable 79 blood units;
4. There were 10 first-timers who donated the life-line;
5. Two employees with rare -ve Blood Groups donated;
6. At the request of Pragati and assisted by SPV Seva Trust, Dr Sharmila Bhat, a well accomplished ayurvedic physician with over 20 years of experience and Professor at Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital & Research Centre gave on the date, two useful and informative spells of talks for 45 minutes each, on general health to about 150 employees of Pragati Automation Ltd.
