1. To distribute 36 spectacles to inmates of Jail. During our earlier visit to Central Jail on 30th May 2025, SPV Seva Trust in association with Lions Club of Bangalore Sanjayanagar conducted a free eye check-up camp for the jail inmates. Out of about 70 for whom the Trust conducted eye check-up, 36 inmates of the jail required spectacles (powered eye-glasses). These spectacles were specifically made with different power-glasses to suit individuals and the cost of these spectacles were met by the Lions Club. In the presence of the Jail Warden, our team symbolically distributed these spectacles to the inmates on 1st July, 2025.
2. To distribute Certificates of Participation in Workshp on Yoga etc. For the benefit of about 500 prisoners of the Central Jail, and as part of rehabilitative and reformative services, SPV Seva Trust conducted four-day Workshop. 35 Yoga Practitioners, teachers and resource persons of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga Kendra helped in conducting the Workshop between 25th and 28th May, 2025 in Central Jail; the workshp and covered the following areas namely, Yoga, Pranayama, Emotional Counselling and a Session on value-based lecture/ demonstration. At the specific requests of a few prisoners/jail authorities, SPV Seva Trust prepared useful Certificate of Participation to be distributed among the inmates. On 1st July, 2025 these certificates were handed over to the Warden who would in turn distribute the same to the prisoners on their respective date of relief from the prison.
