A Successful Beginning at Can Fin Homes, Basavanagudi
On 22nd August 2026, MKL Balaga successfully organised its 89th Blood Donation Camp at Can Fin Homes Limited, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. This was the first Blood Donation Camp conducted by MKL Balaga at Can Fin Homes, making the occasion particularly significant.
The camp was organised in association with Lions Club, Sanjaynagar, Bengaluru; Lions Blood Centre, Vasanthanagar; and Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust (SPV Seva Trust). The enthusiastic response from the employees of Can Fin Homes made the camp a highly successful and meaningful social cause initiative.
Highlights of the Camp
- 56 units of blood were successfully collected, including 5 units belonging to rare/negative blood groups, which can be particularly valuable in meeting critical medical requirements.
- In addition to the successful donations, 14 prospective donors were deferred, mainly on account of lower haemoglobin levels, particularly among some women employees. Their willingness to come forward and participate in the camp was itself greatly appreciated.
- The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response from employees across all levels of the organisation. From the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Vice Presidents and Company Secretary to officers and staff, both men and women participated wholeheartedly in this noble cause.
- A particularly encouraging feature was that 16 employees donated blood for the very first time. Their first step into voluntary blood donation is a welcome indication of growing awareness and commitment towards this vital social cause.

The successful completion of the 89th Blood Donation Camp is yet another milestone in MKL Balaga’s sustained commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation and creating awareness about its importance.
