On 13 Nov 2024, MKL Balaga, an NGO for community cause, joining hands with (a) Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust (b) Lions Club of Bangalore, Sanjaynagar and (c) NIMHANS Blood Bank conducted its 73rd Blood Donation Camp at Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited, Peenya, Bengaluru (KAPL), a pharma company with joint venture between Government of India and Government of Karnataka.
Following were the highlights of the Camp:
1. KAPL provided spacious, sanitized & air-conditioned hall to conduct Blood Bank; Workers, staff and officers came forward to donate the life-line with enthusiasm.
2. Blood Bank attached to NIMHANS Hospital provided excellent co-operation and brought comfortable & good reclining chairs and other equipment to conduct the Camp.
3. Out of 63 donors who donated blood, 11 were first-time donors (including one first-time-donor lady employee).
4. In the Eye Donation Pledge Campaign of the Day, about 30 employees pledged to donate their eyes posthumously.
