Report on Inauguration of two On-Grid Solar Power Systems at Mandya and Mysuru – 12 July 2026

A CSR Initiative of Can Fin Homes Ltd in Partnership with  Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust

As part of its CSR commitment to sustainable development and promotion of renewable energy, Can Fin Homes Limited, in partnership with Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust, Bengaluru, installed of two 3 KW On-Grid Solar Power Systems at educational institutions run by Nele Foundation.

The solar power systems were installed at:

  1. Nele Vishweshwariah, hostel for boys at Mandya and
  2. Nele Sharada, an abode for girls at Mysuru,

Both of these hostels are run and maintained by Nele Foundation.  Nele Foundation is a registered public charitable Trust which maintains 12 orphanages across Karnataka,  providing residential care, food and education to over 450 orphaned and underprivileged children,

The inauguration ceremonies were held on Sunday, 12 July 2026, in the presence of distinguished guests, trustees, students, teachers and volunteers.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment of Can Fin Homes Limited, Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust and Nele Foundation towards environmental responsibility and community development.

The first inauguration programme was held at Nele Vishveshwaraiah, Mandya between 12.15 p.m. to 1.15 p.m, while the second launch was made between 2.30 pm and 4.45 pm.

The programmes was attended by:

  • Sri C. V. Gopinath (Retd IAS), Ex Additional Secretary to the Government of India
  • Sri Nilesh Jain, Secretary and DGM, Can Fin Homes Limited, Bengaluru
  • Sri Chandrashekhar, Trustee, Nele Foundation
  • Sri Sumanth Shetty, Trustee, Nele Foundation
  • Representatives of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust and
  • Warden, students and well-wishers of Nele Foundation.

On the occasion, Sri C. V. Gopinath delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of Indian culture, values and social responsibility. He emphasized that service, environmental protection and support to education are deeply rooted in India’s civilizational traditions and urged students to become responsible citizens committed to nation-building.

The installation of the solar power system was widely appreciated as an important step towards sustainable and environmentally friendly campus infrastructure.

The inauguration of the two 3 KW On-Grid Solar Power Systems at Mandya and Mysuru represents a meaningful contribution towards sustainable development, environmental conservation and educational advancement.

The projects are expected to reduce electricity costs, ensure reliable power supply, and create awareness among students about renewable energy and environmental stewardship. The enthusiastic participation of students and staff reflected the community’s commitment to sustainability and nation-building.

These twin projects stand as shining examples of how corporate social responsibility, voluntary service, and community partnerships can come together to create lasting social and environmental impact.

After successfully completing the programmes at Mandya and Mysuru, 30 friends of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust commenced its return journey to Bengaluru. The group made a brief halt at the historic Sri Aprameya Swamy Temple at Channapatna. This ancient and architecturally beautiful temple, renowned for its spiritual heritage and serene atmosphere, offered the participants an opportunity for prayer and reflection after a day dedicated to service and environmental stewardship.

The visit enabled many participants to appreciate the rich cultural and religious traditions of Karnataka and added a spiritual dimension to the day’s activities.

A particularly memorable feature of the return journey was the warm hospitality extended by Sri Kiran, one of our yoga students and a native of Channapatna. Sri Kiran, along with two of his classmates and friends, accorded a heartfelt reception to all thirty yoga participants.

The group was treated to refreshments and enjoyed an atmosphere of friendship, affection and goodwill. The gesture reflected the strong bonds of camaraderie that have developed among the members of the Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Yoga family and was deeply appreciated by all participants.

The participants also had the opportunity to visit the residence of Smt. Anasuya at Channapatna. Smt. Vanitha is the mother of Smt. Vijayalakshmi, one of our active yoga friends and participants.

The visit provided an occasion for personal interaction and fellowship. Smt. Anasuya and hr family warmly welcomed the group, and the participants appreciated her gracious hospitality. Such interactions strengthen the spirit of togetherness and mutual affection that forms an important aspect of the activities of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Seva Trust and Yoga Kendra.

The visits at Channapatna brought a fitting and joyful conclusion to a day filled with service, environmental awareness, renewable energy promotion, cultural appreciation and community bonding.
